1. Program Description

CrowdControl uses SMS (text messaging) to provide account authentication and invite delivery services. By providing your phone number on CrowdControl, you consent to receive text messages from us as described below.

2. Opt-In Process

You opt in to receive SMS messages from CrowdControl in the following ways:

• Sign-in via phone: When you choose to sign in using your phone number on our sign-in page, you consent to receive a one-time sign-in link via text message.
• Receiving an invite: When an existing CrowdControl member sends you an invitation via your phone number, you will receive a one-time text message with a link to accept the invite.

In both cases, you are providing your phone number and explicitly requesting that a message be sent to it. No recurring messaging program is initiated without your direct action.

3. Message Types & Frequency

CrowdControl sends the following types of text messages:

Frequency: Messages are sent only when you or another user initiates a specific action (signing in or sending an invite). You will not receive recurring, scheduled, or marketing messages via SMS. Typical usage is fewer than 5 messages per month.

4. Opt-Out

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message you receive from CrowdControl. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.
• Switching to email sign-in: You can sign in using your email address instead of your phone number at any time.
• Contacting us at legal@crowdcontrol.us to request removal of your phone number.

After opting out via STOP, you will no longer receive text messages from CrowdControl. You may opt back in at any time by using your phone number to sign in again.

6. Costs & Carrier Information

Message and data rates may apply.CrowdControl does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates will apply. Consult your carrier's pricing plan for details. CrowdControl is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.

7. Supported Carriers

CrowdControl SMS is compatible with most major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Your phone number is used solely for authentication and invite delivery. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
